Northern Norway
Up north the roads get longer and quieter. Follow Kystriksveien along the Helgeland coast, with short ferry crossings and islands like Vega, or take the ferries over to the Lyngen Alps. Further east, the E6 runs on to Varanger and the Arctic coast. In summer the sun barely sets, and in winter the days are short and the drive takes longer.
